Renville-Sibley Cooperative Power Association (RSCPA) is an electric power distribution cooperative nestled in the picturesque region of western Minnesota, approximately 2 hours southwest of the Minneapolis metro area, near the towns of Danube, Renville, and Olivia. With a proud commitment to serving 1,900 member/owner accounts primarily within Renville County, we stand as an integral part of our local community.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an adept, experienced professional to join our team in providing exceptional member services, including establishing member accounts, managing billing activities, and offering assistance to our members and team. Responsibilities include proactive error resolution, anticipating member questions and concerns, and leveraging technology to streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an associate degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in a consumer-centric, technology-driven organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with members and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and systems, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Prior experience in customer service or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a small office environment with limited opportunities for career advancement.

Summer Laborer                                                                                                                                      

Renville-Sibley Cooperative Power Association is seeking one (1) Summer Laborer to join the operations team for the upcoming season. This position is a summer intern opportunity.

The Laborer will perform duties and responsibilities under the direction of the Line Superintendent, assisting in the safe, reliable, and timely construction, operation, and maintenance of structures, lines, and equipment of the cooperative's distribution facilities, which will provide members with safe, reliable service.

They must be willing to comply with the Cooperative’s basic operating safety rules. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the building and maintaining underground and overhead electrical distribution lines.
  • Assist in the restoration of electrical outages.
  • Operate with an extreme awareness for the safety of self and team.
